Week in Review: November 29th, 2013

bjn-logo8-200x200-blueShavuah tov!  We had a short week last week with a big holiday: Thanksgivikkah, the one and only. Between the great latkes, brisket turkey and other foods, the family celebrating together with candle lighting and Chanukah presents, and the dreidel after dinner, we didn’t get a chance to write this until after Shabbat (blame the turkey/latke coma).

Meanwhile Chanukah marches on!  We have several candle lighting ceremonies this week:  tomorrow (Sunday) night, Westminster lights a menorah for Jessica Ridgway, Monday night is the Pearl St. Mall menorah lighting in Boulder; Tuesday night is Chanukah on Ice in Louisville, and Wednesday night, light a menorah in Lafayette.

Have a great week! Here are this week’s stories that ran in the BJN:

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
