bjn-logo8-200x200-blueShabbat shalom! Once again, our thoughts and prayers this shabbat will be especially directed in support of our fellow Coloradans affected by the wildfires that continue raging in the state, and those bravely fighting those fires.

Even though it seems like things are slowing down for the summer, there are still some great activities coming up in the community. For example, local Jewish author Michelle Auerbach will be signing her new book, “The Third Kind of Horse on Saturday, June 22nd at 3:00 pm at Innisfree Poetry Bookstore & Cafe at 1203 13th Street Suite A, Boulder, CO 80302 (www.Innisfreepoetry.com) and Kathryn Bernheimer will be at the Boe on Sunday June 23rd at 4:00 pm introducing the documentary Hollywood Sound: Music for the Movies.”

Check out our stories below, and also check out our new friends at Radio Chavura, who have a new program every Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on 990 KRKS AM Denver or you can stream it from their site.

Have a great weekend!

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
