Week in Review: July 12th, 2013

bjn-logo8-200x200-blueShabbat shalom!  We hope everyone will find ways to keep cool this weekend.  Next week is Tisha B’Av — the Ninth of Av, the day in history when both the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem were destroyed, 500 years apart.  Aish Kodesh and Bonai Shalom have planned community services Monday night and Tuesday to mark the fast day.

For the month of July, BJN will go to a weekly schedule. For those who are contributors, the weekly deadline will be 5:00 pm on the following Wednesdays:

  • July 17
  • July 24
  • July 31

To the extent there is breaking news or lifecycle events, we will publish as usual, however, for everything else, please plan ahead and pay attention to the Friday “Week in Review” email!

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
