Shabbat shalom! Things are definitely heating up in the community again as the month of Elul is now in full swing. Be sure and check out our “Jewels of Elul” widget in our sidebar (or visit www.jewelsofelul.com), and as the High Holidays get closer, you can bookmark our High Holidays page for all the latest posts. And of course, we are also seeing the trickle of college-age kids in our stores this weekend that will swell to a full-blown Buff Stampede as CU welcomes students back next week. We are looking for a CU student to report on the doings of Jewish Buffs during the school year, so if you know one, or are one, who would be interested, please contact editor@boulderjewishnews.org.
Next week, Boulder plays host to Philippe Karsenty, the French media analyst who exposed France 2’s doctoring of a video story purporting to show the death of a Palestinian boy at the hands of the IDF. Karsenty was recently convicted of defamation by a French appeals court in a years-long case brought by France 2. Hear his plan to carry on his mission of exposing the truth of the al Dura affair at an exclusive lunch at the Boulder Cork.
Have a great weekend!
