Dr. Naomi Susan Schwartz Jacobs, an internationally recognized teacher and scholar of the Hebrew Bible and ancient Judaism, returns to Bonai to teach the second part of her highly engaging class about the dramatic and often unexpected stories in the Book of Jubliees.
Found among the Dead Sea Scrolls, Jubilees retells a large section of the Torah in surprising ways. Come and learn this ancient version of how angels have children with human women and how Abraham separates himself from his father. As explained by Naomi, Jubiliees provides fresh insights into both the original Torah stories and the rabbinical reworkings of those stories known as Midrash.
