Night at Theater Rose Women’s Fundraiser

Women’s Funding Group to Host a Night at the Theater to Support Seniors and Their Caregivers

RCFLogo2005_PrimaryCoatedRose Women’s Organization, a volunteer-led fund of Rose Community Foundation, will host a night at the theater on April 24, 2013 at the Curious Theatre, 1080 Acoma Street in Denver. The event will include a reception and private performance of the Tony Award®-winning, contemporary comedy of manners, “God of Carnage.” A portion of funds raised will support Rose Women’s Organization’s 2013 grantmaking. This year, Rose Women’s Organization will award grants to support seniors and their caregivers.

Since 1996, Rose Women’s Organization has granted more than $1.5 million to improve the health, education and welfare of women, children and families. This grantmaking work is funded by income from the gift shop at Rose Medical Center, contributions from the members of the Rose Women’s Organization advisory board, generous donations and proceeds from the fundraising event.

Rose Women’s Organization originated as the Rose Auxiliary, a group of volunteers who raised money to help support Rose Hospital when it was a nonprofit organization. When the hospital was sold in 1995, the Auxiliary became Rose Women’s Organization and began their community grantmaking work.
