Federation Hosts Super Sunday On April 28 At Hazon Food Festival
Register by April 25 for free admission to Hazon’s Food Festival
Chance to Win a FREE iPad
The Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado (“Federation”) will be sponsoring Super Sunday on Sunday, April 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Hazon Food Festival at the Denver Jewish Day School located at 2450 S. Wabash Street in Denver. Chairs for the event are Jessica Pivar and Hilary Cooper.
For more than 25 years, Super Sunday has been a cornerstone of Federation’s Annual Campaign. This annual community-wide phonathon gives people across the Denver/Boulder Jewish community the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of tzedakah by making a gift to the Flagship Fund through our community’s 2013 Annual Campaign.
“This year, we are delighted to partner with the Hazon Food Festival: Rocky Mountains,” said Hilary Cooper, Super Sunday Chair. “For volunteers who register to make Super Sunday calls by 5 p.m. on April 25, these individuals will then have the opportunity to attend the Hazon Food Festival for free. Plus, the person who secures the most donations will win a free IPAD.”
Federation president and CEO Doug Seserman explains:
Our goal is to have every Jewish institution that serves our community take part in what we hope will be a very special day dedicated to tzedakah, gemilut hasadim, and tikkun olam. This year, we are bringing people together to build and strengthen our community while giving back. By partnering with Hazon, our volunteers will enjoy free registration for the Food Festival. This is an incredible opportunity to learn and experience the Jewish Food Movement and hear from food activists, restaurateurs, local growers, authors and more.”
Hilary also states, “The Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado serves to support organizations and individuals at home, in Israel and around the world. I am excited to be involved in such an important event as Super Sunday and collaborate with Hazon at the Hazon Food Festival. This is an amazing opportunity to build community, learn about food, sustainability and Jewish traditions.”
