When 6,500 student members of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) convene this week in Anaheim for their national leadership conference (NCL), Camp Inc. will be right there as well.  According to Chief Camp Officer (CCO) Josh Pierce, FBLA NLC 2013 is the perfect place to introduce these students to Camp Inc.  “Not only will we be reaching students from pretty much every high school in America, we’ll also be speaking with high school teachers and advisers who can then go back to their respective schools and spread the word about Camp Inc.” NLC will connect Camp Inc. with students interested in attending an overnight business camp beginning next summer.

In addition to hosting a Camp Inc. information booth in the expo hall, CCO Josh Pierce will be leading two sessions.  In “Entrepreneurs Live,” Pierce will moderate a panel of entrepreneurs, detailing how they went from students to CEO’s of successful companies.  Panelists include David Fink, partner at the tech firm Science, Inc., who is behind Dollar Shave Club.com.

The second session, “Camp Inc.: Overnight Camp for the Teenage Entrepreneur,” targets students and advisers in entrepreneurship. Pierce will lay out all the details of attending the new camp, run an exercise where student teams create a startup company in 25 minutes, and encourage questions from the students from the student attendees. Says Pierce,

“Our goal at the conference is introduce our camp to teenage entrepreneurs who want to spend three weeks in Boulder working on their business ideas alongside top mentors in the field.”

The FBLA NLC runs for four days, June 27-30, in Anaheim California.  Follow Camp Inc. live at the conference on Twitter and Facebook using hashtag #NLC2013

Camp Inc. is where teenagers from around the world join together to explore what it means to be an entrepreneur. Located in beautiful Boulder, CO, Camp Inc. provides 7-12th grade campers with a unique Jewish overnight summer camp where they develop community, confidence, leadership, and Jewish identity through hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and business. Our campers live in the heart of one of the nation’s most vibrant startup communities, where they learn from successful entrepreneurs, participate in behind-the-scenes tours of local businesses, meet with Israeli startups, explore technology, and engage in both leadership and team building activities.
