Week in Review: August 17th, 2012

Shabbat shalom!  That noise you’ve been hearing the last couple of days around Boulder County is the annual summer Mommy Dance as kids go back to school in the Boulder Valley School District…

In other news, with the month of Elul starting on Saturday night after Shabbat, we are starting to see the community get ready for the High Holidays, which start this year on Sunday, September 16th.  With this week’s Week in Review, BJN will be highlighting High Holiday-related articles in their own section.  We have also added two Elul-related sections to our right sidebar, #BlogElul and Jewels of Elul 2012.  We have also updated our High Holidays page.

We also encourage you to post your thoughts and feelings at this time of year, either as comments to our posts or in your post as one of our community authors.  If you’ve been thinking about starting a blog as part of your New Year’s resolutions, we would be happy to have you join our 200+ community contributors.

Have a great weekend, and enjoy these posts from this week:

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
