Thanks to Everyone Who Helped with the Funeral

Sadly, we buried Beto Goldberg today – a 69 year old man who left a wife and three kids. But thankfully, we were able to give him the Jewish burial he wanted, and we had a minyan to say kaddish for him. My deepest gratitude to those who helped us make a minyan.

Also, a real thank you to everyone who contributed financially: we raised almost $2200 so far – a true testament to the kindness and generosity of our community. We still have further to go, so your contributions are still sorely needed. And thank you to our wonderful Chevra Kadisha who did taharah and shemirah without recompense. Together, we all showed that this town’s “little” Jewish community can do amazing things.
