Stanton Rosenbaum to Receive ADL’s Distinguished Community Service Award

Denver, CO, April 2, 2012 –The Anti-Defamation League’s Mountain States Regional Office will present its 2012 Torch of Liberty Award to Stanton Rosenbaum at a gala dinner on May 2, 2012 at the Westin Denver Downtown.

Stanton Rosenbaum has been a leader in the Denver community for over fifty years.  He was a partner in the law firm of Isaacson Rosenbaum, P.C., until 2011, when he joined Ryley Carlock & Applewhite.  Stanton has served the Denver community in many ways, including terms on the Colorado Developmental Disabilities Council, the Denver County Judicial Nominating Commission, the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations Boards of Governors, and the Rose Medical Center Board of Directors.  He was President and Campaign Chair of the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado, and he has actively supported the Anti-Defamation League’s Mountain States Regional Office and the Denver Chapter of the American Jewish Committee.  He is the recipient of the Jack Shapiro Community Service Award from Jewish Family Service and the University of Denver Law Stars Outstanding Alumni Award.

ADL will also recognize the 16 law firms that have supported ADL’s Summer Associate Research Program over the past five years. Since 2008, over 120 law students have completed pro bono legal research projects on cutting edge constitutional issues that further the mission of ADL to secure justice and fair treatment to all.  Under the direction of supervising attorneys from participating law firms, the summer associates have researched issues of religious liberty, immigration, free speech/hate speech, civil rights, homelessness, reproductive rights, and international law.

ADL’s annual Torch of Liberty Awards Dinner is a community wi de event that honors and recognizes those who demonstrate a tradition of community service. Rosenbaum will join the list of many other exceptional people and families that have been honored by ADL throughout the years for community leadership and engagement.

The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed by a multi-media award presentation. This year’s event is being co-chaired by Peggy Goldman, Gary Kleiman, Neil Oberfeld, and Matt Pluss.
