Extra Night for Shofar Making and Class

Our Wednesday night program is FULL, so we added another night.

Have you ever made your own Shofar?  Have you soaked it? Cleaned it? Created a mouthpiece? Sanded it?  Drilled it? Polished it?

If you have never experienced this experiential craft and have not created your own masterpiece, your time is running out.  Don’t wait for 3-4 years until we bring this meaningful program back to Boulder.

Join us on Thursday September 13 7:00 – 8:30 pm at the Boulder JCC for a Shofar Factory geared to adults.   The Shofar Making Workshop is $25.   Rsvp as soon as possible to lbkosher@gmail.com as the Shofars are Going Fast!

We will also have a class at the JCC from 6:30 – 7:00 pm on the topic, “Teshuvah, Reclaiming the SELF” given by Rabbi Scheiner.  This will be a wonderful preparation to understanding the High Holiday prayers and rituals.  The class is free and is open to the community regardless if you are making a Shofar or not.

The Shofar Factory is a joint program of Chabad Lubavitch of Boulder County and the Boulder JCC.

About Chany Scheiner

Co - Director of Boulder Center for Judaism. Any successful organization needs a heart and that is what Chany provides, along with organization, marketing, innovative programming, and countless Shabbat dinners. Some of her accomplishments are large and public like the annual menorah lighting on Pearl Street and the matzo and shofar factories, while others are quiet and private like the time she spends counseling individuals and sharing the wisdom that comes from study.
