Chanukah at CU was a very cold one, but there was still a large showing of students at the Grand Menorah Lighting. The event was co-sponored by CU Chabad and Hillel groups. Students enjoyed hot drinks, fresh latkas and sufganiot. Michael Leeds lit the Menorah to live music. For just a minute everyone took in the light and forgot about the cold. It was a beautiful site of Jewish Unity and Pride on the CU campus.

Tradition with a Twist is a seven-foot menorah by Yitzchok Moully, blending art and spirituality, debuting at the Boulder Menorah Lighting on December 15th, celebrating Jewish resilience.
According to Chany Scheiner, co-founder of the Boulder Center for Judaism, they chose Barbara Steinmetz for a number of reasons, but the most important is that, according to Chany, "she is always such a light against the darkness.”
