Shabbat Shalom! What a week we’ve had here in Jewish Colorado… for most of the week, Denver/Boulder has been the center of the Jewish world as the Allied Jewish Federation hosted 3,000 national and world Jewish leaders and philanthropists at the Jewish Federations of North America’s 2011 General Assembly, then 1,200 women at their Choices event Wednesday night and 1,400 Jewish men at the Men’s Event on Thursday night. Boulder Jewish News featured GA coverage this week. Special thanks (and happy birthday) to our photographer Bruce Shaffer.

Other exciting news this week includes Rabbi Marc Soloway being named to this year’s CLAL Rabbis Without Borders class and BJN contributor Debbie Garelick having an article included in a book released this week. (Review to come.)
Finally, today is 11/11/11 — the 93rd anniversary of the end of the “War to End All Wars” and today known as Veterans’ Day. Please join the BJN in wishing all of America’s veterans well today.
Shabbat is especially welcome this week. May yours be peaceful.
