Week in Review: December 9th, 2011

Shabbat Shalom!  Opa! The week started with a bang last Saturday night with a Boulder JCC program celebrating the Jews of Greece.  Meanwhile, the community is starting to gear up for the next Jewish holiday on the calendar: Chanukah!  Check out BJN’s Chanukah page, as well as the Chanukah story section below to see what’s in store over the next three weeks as we gear up for, and then celebrate the Festival of Lights in Boulder.

Two big events coming up next week, both co-sponsored by the Boulder Jewish News:  on Wednesday, Ignite Chanukah with Vodka Latke party for the young adult crowd and on Thursday, Matisyahu plays the Boulder Theater.

Have a great weekend!

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
