Vanishing of the Bees – Film and Tour

Humans rely on bees for pollination. Up to 90% of all American bees have recently disappeared.

Join the Boulder Jewish community for a screening of the documentary Vanishing of the Bees, a local honey tasting, and a tour of the Boulder Jewish Commons Community Farm where we’ll bless the Farm’s new bee hive.

This is an opportunity to learn about what is occurring and what you can do to heal this scary phenomenon. Following the film we’ll sample local honey and have a Q&A with a beekeeping expert.

This event is on Wednesday, June 29. It starts with a Farm Tour at 6:30 pm followed by the film at 7:00 pm, rain or shine, at Congregation Bonai Shalom, 1527 Cherryvale Road, Boulder, 80303. The tour will start at Bonai Shalom (the farm is across the street). A $5 donation is requested for public education of bee issues.

Co-sponsored by Aish Kodesh, Boulder County Beekeepers Association, Boulder JCC, Congregation Bonai Shalom, Congregation Har HaShem, Hazon, Nevei Kodesh, Pardes Levavot and Tuv Ha’aretz CSA.
