Rabbi Yisrael Rosencranz, husband of Rochel, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning from a heart attack.
Yisrael and Rochel built the mikvah for the entire Jewish community, and it is incumbent upon us as a community to help with shemira, the funeral, and to help his widow Rochel with food, comfort, and community at this tragic time for her.
More details to follow; updates will be posted in the comments below.

Thank you to the person who passed this update along:
Our community has suffered a great loss with the passing of Reb Yisroel Rosencrantz, z"l.
Many of you have expressed interest in assisting with meals during the shivah. Golda Rochel deeply appreciates your love and concern. Being aware of the Rosencrantz's high level of kashrut, I discussed dietary restrictions and preferences with Golda Rochel to determine what would be most helpful to her.
Below are some options. Please contact me as soon as possible to let me know how you are interested in helping. My email address is: shellygail521-at-gmail.com. Thank you.
1. Purchase a meal and/or other food from the East Side Kosher Deli during the week of shivah. (We have suggestions for meal items.) If you cannot pick it up in Denver, the Schreibers may be able to arrange delivery. Please specify date(s).
2. Prepare meals if you know from past experience that Golda Rochel is comfortable with the kashrut of your kitchen. Please specify date(s).
3. Buy groceries and prepared or packaged foods and deliver them to the house. Food must have the right hashgachot (OU, circle K…), be Chalav Yisroel and Pas Yisroel, be preferably healthy and whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Please specify date(s).
If you would like to honor Reb Yisroel's memory by making a monetary donation, please consider donating to the Boulder Mikvah. Your checks may be made out to: RMCC (Rocky Mountain Chassidic Center), and mailed to 4800 Baseline Rd. E104-297, Boulder, CO 80303.
The Levaya is confirmed for Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. It will begin outside the cemetery so that Kohanim can attend.

Information will be sent out regarding shivah visiting hours and other ways to help Golda Rochel during this difficult time.
Minyanim are being coordinated by Rabbi Goldfeder and Rabbi Wilhelm and will be announced. Plans are to have a nightly minyan for minchah and maariv at the Rosencrantz home in Boulder (near Baseline and Mohawk).
Tizku L'mitzvot.
Shiva minyan is at 7:30 Saturday evening and then 7 pm Sunday through Wednesday.
