Frances Kusner, z”l

Frances Kusner, mother of  Meira Chmiel, passed away this Tuesday morning.

There will be a graveside service this Thursday 11/10 at 2:00 pm, at Longmont Mountainview Cemetery (note: in LONGMONT, not Boulder), 62 11th Avenue (off Main St), Longmont CO 80501

The family is sitting a full shiva here in Boulder Thursday evening through Wednesday morning (see below).

It is our role as a community to take care of the mourners – the family should not be hosts, but rather we take care of them and one way of fulfilling the mitzvah of caring for the mourner is by volunteering in this capacity. And of course, it’s also a mitzvah to help ensure there is a minyan.  If you would like more information on the shiva or meal of condolence or can prepare a meal for the family please contact Michelle Goldman by email at mgdragonfly2000@yahoo.com or Cynthia at hesed@bonaishalom.org.

Shiva will begin on Thursday, November 10 and run through the morning of Wednesday, November 16 at the following times:

Thursday 11/10, 7:00 pm

Friday 11/11, 7:00 am

Sunday 11/13, 8:00 am & 7:00 pm (note, morning minyan is an hour later and will be at 8:00 am on Sunday)

Monday 11/14, 7:00 am & 7:00 pm

Tuesday 11/15, 7:00 am & 7:00 pm

Wednesday 11/16, 7:00 am

Hamakom y’nachem – May God grant strength and comfort to Meira and her family. Alah hashalom – peace on the soul of Francis.

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
