Congregation Bonai Shalom kicked off a celebration of the 30th anniversary of their founding with a beach party at the Boulder Reservoir on Sunday afternoon. The afternoon turned out cool and wet, but not because of the proximity to the reservoir — rain showers kept many under the tents. That didn’t stop many in the CBS community from showing up and having a good time, though.

May 19 was Yom Yerushalayim, Jerusalem Day, which is beautiful and very complex for most of us. Inspired by the amazing line "am I not the violin of all of your songs" in Naomi Shemer's song Jerusalem of Gold, I wrote this poem.
