Zeta Beta Tau at CU Makes Miracles

The Zeta Beta Tau chapter at the University of Colorado handed over a donation of $2,214.24 to Children’s Miracle Network on Monday.

Buffbowl, a flag football tournament between all of the University of Colorado fraternities helped to raise the funds and awareness for a great cause. The tournament was held Halloween weekend and the chapter has been working diligently since, raising additional funds from parents and alumni.

Molly Oliver, Children’s Miracle Network Coordinator, was on hand to talk about the organization and receive the funds. With an initial $1,000 goal, Molly stated, “I was shocked to see the final amount.”

Thank you to all of our great supporters and congratulations to Sigma Alpha Epsilon for another Buffbowl victory.

Children’s Miracle Network is the fundraising and awareness arm of more than 170 children’s hospitals.

The ZBT chapter also placed first in this year’s Chi O Karaoke while raising $1,967 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!

May 19 was Yom Yerushalayim, Jerusalem Day, which is beautiful and very complex for most of us. Inspired by the amazing line "am I not the violin of all of your songs" in Naomi Shemer's song Jerusalem of Gold, I wrote this poem.
