Week in Review: July 9th, 2010

Shabbat Shalom! It was a short holiday week with unusual summer weather here in Boulder. We added a nifty tool to Boulder Jewish News this week – a toolbar at the bottom of the site. Have you checked it out? Scroll down to see it in action. It has a search box and easy connectivity for Facebook so you can “like” and share articles with friends (please do!). Just to the right of the search box is a gray and white ball (if your screen is wide enough, it will say “Translate” to the right of the ball). Click on the ball and pick a language – let us know what you think!  (By the way, the toolbar maker is an Israeli company.)

If you haven’t contributed an article, maybe something this summer will spark your creativity. Perhaps it will be a book you read or a movie or photos from a trip. We welcome your perspective and thank all our contributors for being part of the conversation in our community. Have a great weekend!

About Editor

I'm David Fellows, and I've served as a writer, photographer and/or an editor on my junior high and high school newspapers; the Daily Trojan at USC (where I earned my journalism degree); the student newspaper at the Anderson School at UCLA (where I earned my MBA); and I've written and edited countless business documents and presentations in the ensuing twenty years. I was also a professional photographer from 1978 to 1988 (although you never really stop...). I've been involved Jewishly since my bris and in Boulder since 1995. I'm married to my Executive Director Cheryl, and we have two children, Lauren and Ethan.
