This Week for CU’s Jewish Buffs

This will be an active week for Jews at CU.

Monday

At 7:30 p.m., Chabad will be hosting the Jewish Life Cycle Part One- Celebrating the Miracle of Birth. This is the first of a three-part lecture series on the Jewish life cycle. The event features guest speaker Rabbi Yisroel Engel, of Chabad of Denver. This event is taking place at Chabad on 775 17th Street. A Thai Dinner will be served.

Tuesday

Chabad’s Talmud Tuesday is at 12:30 p.m.

Hillel invites members of Hebrew High to join them at their Weekly BBQ, at 6 p.m. This event is at Hillel, located at 2795 Colorado Avenue.

Wednesday

Chabad’s Jewish Law class is at 1 p.m.

Hillel’s Annual Dinner takes place at 6 p.m., at Infinity Park. It is the biggest event that CU’s Hillel puts on all year.

The women of Chabad are baking challah at their weekly Women in the Torah class. The event is at 8 p.m. on 821 19th Street.

Thursday

Chabad’s Kabbalah & Hookah class is at 9 p.m.

Friday

Hillel’s L’dor V’dor is at 4 p.m. Meet at Hillel and help deliver Shabbat meals to Jewish elders in the community.

Hillel’s Shabbat services are at 6 p.m. The meal starts at 7 p.m.

Chabad’s Shabbat services are at 7 p.m. The meal starts at 7:30 p.m.

Both events are free and open to the public.
