Talking to Teens About Safe Driving

On Tuesday, Nov. 9th, BBYO is holding a community-wide program, in partnership with Temple Sinai in Denver. The program is called It Won’t Happen To Me. The program will be held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Temple Sinai, 3509 S. Glencoe St., Denver.

It Won’t Happen To Me (IWHTM) is a non-profit organization whose mission it is to eliminate the number one cause of teen fatalities – car accidents. Most of these deaths are preventable. Seventy percent of all teen car fatalities didn’t have to happen. One common misconception is that fatal crashes usually involve alcohol or drugs. In fact, less than 25% of teen car deaths result from alcohol and drugs. The typical situation involves good kids making bad decisions. How do you talk to your kids to help keep them safe? Mark your calendars and make this an evening you share with them.  More information available by emailing rmr@bbyo.org.
