Help Build Chabad’s Giving Menorah

Help Build the Giving Menorah and Brighten the Life of a Child at Children’s Hospital this Holiday Season

The Chabad Giving Menorah

This Chanukah Chabad of NW Metro Denver is once again bringing the light of Chanukah to the community with an exciting hands-on Chanukah event for all the family.

On Tuesday December 7th at the Westminster Recreation Center, 10455 Sheridan Blvd from 5:15 -7:30 pm,  Chabad will host a family Chanukah concert with Cantor Marty Goldstein of the Hebrew Education Alliance (HEA) with the Neshira players. At this event a giant Giving Menorah made up of Chanukah gifts will be built. The gifts will then be distributed to patients at Children’s Hospital. A buffet dinner with traditional Chanukah food of hot latkes and donuts will be served.

Can you think of a better way to share the joy of Chanukah than with children who will be spending the winter holiday season in hospital?

There a three ways one can participate in this exciting program and help make a child smile this holiday season.

  • Bring an unwrapped gift to our Chanukah event on Tuesday December 7th
  • Mail us a store gift card from your favorite retailer and we will buy a gift on your behalf.
  • Send a gift in the mail or drop it off at Chabad of NW Metro Denver 4505 W 112th Ave. Westminster.

Rabbi Benjy Brackman executive director of Chabad of NW Metro feels that this is a great way to share the light of Chanukah with the community. “With Chanukah this year beginning on December 1st we thought this would be a great way for kids to share their Chanukah gift with less fortunate children during the winter holiday season”, says Brackman.

Mr. Bob Flory chaplain at Chidlren’s Hospital welcomes the gifts. “ We are very appreciative of the generosity of your (Chabad of NW Metro Denver’s) community and appreciate you thinking of the children that are patients at the Children Hospital, says Mr. Flory

Schools and congregations can participate in building the Giving Menorah by organizing a gift drive of their own and brining the gifts to the event to help build the giant Giving Menorah. To participate or for more information please call Rabbi Benjy Brackman, executive Director of Chabad of NW Metro Denver on 720.984.5805.
