Congregation Bonai Shalom Sisterhood and Women of Har HaShem Combined Program
Although November 11, 2010 is a ways off, we wanted to give everyone an opportunity to read the book before this program. Sisterhood of CBS is hosting a joint program with the Women of HarHaShem.
Froma Fallick of Bonai Shalom will present the book For You Mom, Finally, by Ruth Reichl.
It is the story of the woman who Booklist called “the klutzy cook who renounced edibility in favor of creativity,” a woman Reichl has lovingly laughed at in her previous memoirs.
On what would have been her mother’s 100th birthday, Reichl takes a serious look at a woman who was raised in a time when women didn’t work if they didn’t have to; a woman who struggled (and failed) to become the perfect housewife , and a woman who was determined that her daughter would have more.
