BJCC “Facebook,” Schmelvis and Art

The Boulder JCC was the site for multiple programs Sunday night, as Menorah presented “Me, Myself and Eye,” a physical Facebook gallery of community members’ favorite pictures of themselves, followed by a screening of the documentary “Shmelvis, the Search for the King’s Jewish Roots.”

At the same time, the Society for Creative Aging opened their “Art by Association” Exhibition, attended by many of the showing artists.  The exhibit consisted of 36 entries from artists over 60 years old, hobbyist to professional, who reside in western Boulder County (Boulder, Allenspark, Nederland and Lyons).  The entries were selected by local art associations in these communities.  This exhibition will continue through June 30th, 2010.

About Staff

They call me "NewsHound IV," because I'm a clever Finnegan, sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was a rescue pup and glad to be on the scent!
