Beth Ami Celebrates Chanukah at Stratford

Beth Ami Jewish Cultural School (JCS) met at the Stratford at Flatirons on Sunday, December 12th to celebrate Chanukah with the residents.  The children performed a play, A Rabbi Finds His Home, about the life of Rabbi Sherwin Wine, the founder of Humanistic Judaism. After the play we played dreidel, sang holiday songs and ate latkes.  Beth Ami JCS has celebrated Jewish holidays with residents of the Stratford since 2009, with the help of Jewish Family Service.

The new semester in Jewish Cultural School begins January 9th, 2011. Our theme this year is Dignity: Our Right to Be Masters of Our Own Lives. For more information see Beth Ami website.

  1. It has been such a treat to participate in these cultural events at the Stratford. The residence and staff are so very receptive to our programming. I appreciate the numerous people from our congregation come out to support the events. This event was particularly fun because the children did such a great job performing the play. I was so proud of them. Thank you Jewish Family Services for getting Beth Ami connected with the Stratford.
