Boulder BBYO Rocks Convention

The Flobots weren’t the only ones rocking at the Rocky Mountain Region 2009 Winter Convention.

Boulder BBYO scored four awards this year. N’Siah of the Year went to Riki Gross (Chapter President), and Jon Ansell won Mazkir of the Year (Chapter Secretary).  Boulder’s chapter also won Most Improved Chapter, with ten members attending convention, and the girls of Boulder won Most Spirited Chapter, earning them the BBG Spirit Cup.

Boulder’s theme this year was Harry Potter, and we showed our stuff with shirts reading “Potter is Hotter” and an artistic banner featuring our mascots.

Highlights of the convention were the Flobots concert (of course),  “Lives” speeches finishing early, Storytelling with the prompts “I knew I was an AZA when…” and “One time at Jewish summer camp…”, AZA 6’s dance video, and of course a Kiss-o-Gram between Josh Siegel and Emily Frank.

Originally two separate chapters, Ilan Ramon 380 and Ahavah 331, the Boulder chapter did a great job at convention this year. Congrats to everyone!
