Thanks to Susan Litt for bringing this to our attention! Cute video about mah jongg featured on NBC in New York, including a visit to the Project Mah Jongg exhibit at the National Museum of Jewish Heritage.

We had a chance to visit the exhibit last summer – what a treat. Photos of the founders of the League, old sets and memorabilia, interpretive works and even recordings.

The exhibit will be traveling to Portland, Cleveland, Los Angeles and Miami Beach this fall. Enjoy!

Mah Jongg New Night

Mah Jongg in Boulder

The Boulder Open Mah Jongg group that has been playing on Tuesdays at Glacier Ice Cream is going to be playing on Wednesdays this fall, beginning this week. Several of the “regulars” have kids at Hebrew High so we will be relocating to a spot (TBD) in North Boulder closer to the Boulder JCC. Please check the Facebook page (facebook.com/MahJonggBoulder) for updates and location announcements.

This is an open game and all are welcome! If you would like to suggest an additional day during the week for a game, please share the information on the Facebook page or comment below and we’ll spread the word.

Celebrate the end of Passover with an ice cream cone and Mah Jongg at Glacier Ice Cream – Foothills, at the Meadows (Baseline near Foothills). 7 pm on Tuesday April 6. Beginners welcome.

For the curious, Geri will be demonstrating the new iPad so we can all oooooo and aaahhhhhh. As of last week, Cheryl was Mayor of Glacier on Foursquare - who will be Mayor next?

Let’s squeeze in another night of mah jongg before people take off for Spring Break! The game is at Glacier Ice Cream (Baseline near Foothills), Tuesday night at 7 pm.
