Lisa – thanks for the great article and recipe! I want to point out for your celiac and gluten sensitive readers though, that it's critical to use certified gluten-free oat flour as well as oats in recipes like this. Several brands like Chateau CreamHill Estates sell certified oat flour as well, or it's easy to make it yourself by just grinding certified gluten-free oats into flour in your blender or food processor. Organic does NOT mean gluten-free when it comes to oats, and in fact, can often mean more contamination.

Thanks again for your contributions to our community, Lisa!

      Hi Jules:

Thank you for your comment. I exclusively use only GF oats and make my own oat flour from scratch using gluten free oats from Bob's Red Mill. My oldest daughter had her Bat Mitzvah this week plus I have a two month old, so I am a little behind and did not have time to read my article close enough. Thanks for reading and thanks for pointing it out to me.

Hakuna Matata (hmvitamins.com) also makes kids chewable vitamins that are pretty good. they're sort of like flintstones. :) Bluebonnet makes kids vitamins that are called Rainforest animalz or something and they're yummy too.
