BIG Day on March 30

StandWithUs Colorado, in cooperation with the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), encourages schools and college campuses, synagogues, community organizations, and individuals to celebrate Israel by designating March 30 as the day to buy Israeli goods at local stores.

The date was chosen because the anti-Israel boycott campaign has planned a global boycott of Israeli products for the same day (March 30) – those protestors plan to stand outside stores and ask shoppers not to buy Israeli products.

Buying Israeli goods on March 30th – and every other day – is a wonderful and positive way to show your support for Israel.  Let’s join together and make March 30, 2011 a great day for Israel.  Buy Israeli goods, ask for Israeli goods and be sure to thank store managers for carrying Israeli goods.  Be a part of BIG Day!” – Yona Eshkenazi, Director of StandWithUs Colorado.

Some stores that carry Israeli products in the greater Denver metro area include King Sooper markets, Costco, Eastside Kosher Deli, Aaron’s Books, Boutique Judaica, Arash Market, TJ Maxx, Walgreens, Target and Wal-Mart, Bed, Bath and Beyond, among others.

In November, 2010, Israel supporters in Colorado came out in force to purchase Ahava products at two Ulta Cosmetics stores targeted for boycotts on Thanksgiving weekend due to their selling of the Israeli goods. Both stores had record Ahava sales on the day of the attempted boycotts.

StandWithUs is encouraging Israel’s supporters to take videos and photos of themselves purchasing the products and submit them to big@standwithus.com.  Contact yona@standwithus.com for more information.
