Purim Traditions

There are 4 main Purim traditions:

  • Have a Purim Seudah, a festive meal of celebration – on Purim afternoon.
  • Hear the Megillah, the scroll that records the story of Esther
  • Give gifts of mishloach manot – gifts of food to friends
  • Give gifts of Matanot L’Evyonim – gifts for the poor. Please take the opportunity to remember those less fortunate in our community and make a donation to the needy.

Get out and have fun!

Purim Sameach – Happy Purim!

About Staff

Staff
They call me "NewsHound Too," because I'm sniffing out stories all over the Boulder area. My buddies know me as "Rocky." I love Jewish holidays because the food is GREAT, especially the brisket. Well all the food. I was adopted from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley and have many friends there also looking for homes.
