All you need is a camera, curiosity and an adventurous spirit to get in on the year’s coolest Israel program.
In 2005, B’YahadTREX’s legendary Bike the Negev™ helped launch mountain biking as an engine of tourism in Israel’s northern Negev and as a new relationship-building model. Now, October 13-17, we’re ramping up photography. Zoom-In Israel™ will be a first-ever pairing of visiting and Israeli photo enthusiasts – beginners and up – for a unique look at a diverse country. Our Israeli friends are excited about using this medium to connect us with people and place – that’s what B-TREX does best. So get in on the fun, friendship and learning.
Our enthusiastic professional instructor, Irus Rozenfeld, will select some wonderful southern Israel subjects from among dancers, Bedouin culture, African immigrants, landscape, development & agricultural projects – and we’ll be the subjects in a movement workshop, spa and winery.
Around Jerusalem, we’ll compose in colorful and less visited areas, including an optional day on the west bank. We’ll kick back in modest Israeli accommodations for daily critiques, and keep some time open for freestyling. Digital SLR or point&shoot or film cameras are all useable tools to explore the grit and grace of a complex land. All levels of hobby/amateur photographers are welcome – including beginners and others just wanting to improve their travel photography.
Zoom-In Israel™ is a moderately priced short program for do-it-yourself Israel trip planners and those already in-country, and geared for a small group of adventurous travelers who like the unknowns and the serendipitous of a new, prototype program. Price may lower if we choose to use more public transportation, and some stipends may be available.
