Aish Kodesh: Five Levels of Soul

Eat, Love, Learn, Create, Let Go…

On March 7, most of the civilized world will be watching the Oscars©.  How does a synagogue dare hold its annual dinner on such a hallowed night?  Only if they think their community is composed of bigger stars than Woody Harrelson, Jeff Bridges, and Meryl Streep, and that connecting as a community is possibly more meaningful than listening to James Cameron thank his family 11 times for supporting him during the making of Avatar (especially with the invention of TeVo).

We often go to movies to escape into another world, or at least to visit: to face different kinds of challenges, to be surrounded by other kinds of people, or even to be in another world entirely.  But we can find these kinds of experience in a community like Aish Kodesh: we face challenges of integrity and self-awareness, we find people we wouldn’t ordinarily meet who share core things in common with us and are different enough to challenge us to expand our horizons.  And if we are lucky, we can enter into the peaceful world of Shabbat.  And there is certainly plenty of entertainment to be had.

So, if you are still undecided, program your TeVo and come be in community with us.  Discover another world on March 7th.  No acceptance speeches, and only a bit of suspense.  No gold statues – guaranteed.  And we’ll roll out the red carpet for you.

Sunday March 7, 2010, 5:30 PM, at the Millennium Harvest House.  To RSVP or for more information, email ExecutiveDirector@BoulderAishKodesh.org or visit www.BoulderAishKodesh.org.
